What’s the first thing you look at when building an SEO strategy for a client?
The first thing I check is visibility. Can people find you online for the right keywords? A lot of businesses have a website, but they’re not showing up in search results. If no one can find you, it doesn’t matter how nice the site looks.
What’s the most important part of local SEO?
Consistency. Your business name, address, and phone number (NAP) need to be the same everywhere—Google, Yelp, Facebook, directories, you name it. One mismatch can mess up your rankings. Also, reviews and your Google Business Profile matter more than people realize.
How do you choose keywords?
I focus on search intent. What is the person really looking for? A lot of people chase high-volume keywords, but I’d rather go after the terms that actually convert—things like “best realtor in Aventura” or “emergency AC repair near me.”
Do you think blogging still helps with SEO?
Definitely—if it’s done right. Generic blogs don’t help. But if you’re answering real questions your customers are asking, you’ll build trust and boost rankings. Local topics work great too.
What’s your approach to backlinks?
I focus on relevance and quality. One backlink from a credible local site is better than a dozen from random directories. You want links that make sense and support your authority.
How long does it take to see results?
It depends on the competition, but usually 3 to 6 months. SEO isn’t instant. It’s about building a foundation that keeps working for you over time.
